"You can feel the history" at this "old-world hotel" "near the National Zoo" that's been "hosting meetings and conventions" since 1930; the "rooms are better than average" ("many have Rock Creek Park views"), and the "service is prompt and efficient"; it's "definitely a conference property", however – "you wouldn't want to be here if you're not part of a group" – and despite the "grandiose lobby" and gardens, some say this "grande dame is faded."

Historic hotel that has been updated with modern conveniences, very close to METRO.
My room was very far from the lobby.
Park-like setting, large roomy hotel with lots of nice amenities for business travelers and leisure travelers alike. Beautiful cafe with terrace overlooking garden.

Beautiful hotel and grounds, location to Metro, restaurants and tour stops.
The Omni is a beautiful hotel with beautiful grounds. It was a real pleasure to eat at the wonderful restaurant, Roberts. We truly enjoyed our 9 days at this hotel. Location is perfect.

The lobby looks luxurious.
They immediately put me in a separate building (about 5 minutes walk through the hotel) at the ground floor.
Room service: the food arrived cold and baked goods were stale (including the ginger mango cake).

Not accommodating to needs.
We had a bad experience. Ants, bug bites, requested a different room, but was told that they were fully book and could not accommodate us till the next day. I believe that was hogwash.
